1990 found me living in La Jolla, California, and working at Hanson Art Gallery, on Prospect Street. We signed to represent Peter Max. I sold his large "Reclining Nude on Yellow" and got to meet him at our opening to celebrate his work. He had 9 large, colour video monitors, stacked 3 up, and 3 across, in our front display window like an artful tic-tac-toe. They showed a loop of his colourful and exuberant paintings. Later in the year, everyone from the gallery trekked up to San Francisco to party with him.
