I explored the complicated and challenging world of metallic abstract paintings with texture in my 5th series. When I visited the SFMOMA I heard viewers of an abstract masterpiece say, “Well, my 6-year-old could paint that,” and that’s what I’m striving for. That freedom from boundaries and gravity that brings delicate beauty and rhythm to the canvas.
